Cycle Right Programme for Primary Schools
In January 2017, the Department of Tourism, Transport & Sport launched the newly developed Cycle Right programme – the National Standard for Cycle Training in Ireland. This programme was developed by the Department in association with Cycling Ireland and the Road Safety Authority (RSA). Cycle Right is an inclusive programme.
The Cycle Right programme is co-ordinated and delivered at a local level by Roscommon Sports Partnership. Children will learn essential safety and competency skills such as bike handling, correct use of helmets, bike safety checks etc.
We have a team of qualified Cycle Right instructors who will visit your school to deliver the programme. This course is funded by Dept. of Transport and Cycling Ireland.
This programme is available to children in senior classes only. Schools will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
