Further to huge interest received and increasing demand we would like to introduce a new division to our Moate Cycles business called “Ability Bikes”.
We have researched the area of disabled assisted leisure bikes for adults and children alike and have found that there is a great need for supply of affordable leisure bikes and trikes.
So, we are glad to announce the launch of our specialised service to people with various levels of ability and disabilities. “Ability Bikes” is lucky to have on our team, the experienced and well-known local Paracyclist Declan Slevin, who competed in the Paralympics Rio 2016 in handcycling being placed 9th in the world. Declan’s vast knowledge is available to tap into with regard to bike sizing and suitability for the individual needs.
Two very popular companies Jorvic and Mission will be stocked along with a variety of accessories to suit your needs. Our midlands location in the heart of Moate town means you will never be too far from a supplier and from expert advice.
As an introduction to our service we are holding a “Come and Try Event” on Saturday, June 3rd 2017, using the very safe and secure venue of the ‘The Old Rail Trail’ – the Greenway cycleway which takes in Moate Station. This all day event will take place at the Station from 10 am to 4 pm where people of all ages and levels of ability and disability will have the opportunity to try out a variety of bikes and trikes. On the day you can also meet up with our proud Paralympian Declan.
For a fun family day out come along and spread the work of “Ability Bikes” for all.
