This programme is aimed at 4th year girls in all secondary schools in Roscommon. The programme consists of dance aerobics, yoga, salsa, team bonding activities and various forms of fun physical activities. The sessions lasted one hour each week for four weeks.
The aim was to increase the amount of physical activity adolescent girls perform and show them that physical activity can be enjoyable and that it is open to all levels of fitness. It appealed to the girls because of the wide range of non-competitive and exciting activities. This programme was extremely successful as it succeeded in enhancing physical activity among the girls.
