Roscommon Social Inclusion Week 2014 Monday 19th – Sunday 25th May

Roscommon Social Inclusion Week has something for everyone with a week packed with a diverse range of fun activities and events to get the entire community involved and socialising!

Activities include storytelling for children, drama in Roscommon Arts Centre, Swimming for the Active Age, street football, Art Exhibitions, Dance & Bocchia in the Quad Centre and much much more!

  • Day Trip to visit the Titanic Experience in Belfast, contact Julie Conneelly 086 4036272 for more information. A thoroughly enjoyable day out to a tourist attraction for Active Age and Local Mens Groups. (B)
  • All Week – Celebrating Diversity Workshops in The Big Blue Playbus & Roscommon leader Partnership Offices. (F)
  • Monday 19th & Thursday 22nd – Get Active – Active Age Swim at Roscommon Leisure Centre from 10-11am. (€)
  • Tuesday 20th May – Jack and the Beanstalk at Roscommon Arts Centre for children and their families at 10am. (B) (€)
  • Tuesday 20th May – Street Football in Ballaghaderren, start of a 6-week programme from 6pm-8pm. (F)
  • Wednesday 21tst May – Street Football in Boyle, start of a 6-week programme from 6pm – 8pm. (F)
  • Wednesday 21st May – Rhythm & Roll (Dance & Bocchia) at The Quad Centre, Roscommon from 11am – 12:15pm for Active Retirement Groups and Groups with a physical Disability. (F)
  • Wednesday 21st May – Tea Party in the Gardens of Roscommon Disability Support Group, Derrane, 11am – 2pm. All welcome. (F)
  • Saturday 24th May – Open Day at Castlerea Youth & Family Project in Riverside House, Main  Street, Castlerea from 10am – 2pm, everyone welcome. (F)
  • Saturday 24th May – Puca Puppets Storytelling in Roscommon County Library from 11am-12 noon for children of all ages. (B)
  • Saturday 24th May – 19th July – Art Exhibition by The Workers at The Gallery, Roscommon Arts Centre, gallery open during Centre opening hours. (F)
  • Saturday 24th May – Storytelling in Boyle Library with Danielle Allison from 12 noon – 12:45pm. (B) (F)
  • Saturday 24th – Storytelling in  Ballaghaderreen Library by Gerry Boland from 11:30am – 12:30pm for children 10 years and over. (B) (F)
  • Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th – Family Fun Hour in Roscommon Leisure Centre from 2pm-3pm. (€)
  • Sunday 25th – Roscommon Dawn Chorus in Lough Key at 8am to celebrate Bealtaine 2014. (F)
