On Yer Bike for Bike Week

National Bike Week takes place this year from 11th to 19th June. Roscommon Sports Partnership in association with Roscommon Co Council will be hosting an array of events and competitions during the week aimed at encouraging people to make more use of the bicycle as an alternative form of transport or as a fun physical activity.  If your cycling club is holding an event during contact Roscommon Sports Partnership and we will include it in the Bikeweek Events Calendar. All event information is on www.rosactive.org/www.roscommoncoco.ie/www.bikeweek.ie or Roscommon Sports Partnership Facebook page.

The week kicks off on Sat 11th with the  Roscommon Grand 50km LeisureTour in association with Donamon Dynamos CC starts from the Quad Circular Road Roscommon at 10am. Refreshments/support provided en route.

The Family Cycle to Mote Park will take place on Saturday 11th at 6.45 pm meeting at the Primary Care Centre on the Golf Links Road

Sun 12th June The big guns will be out in force for the Donamon Dynamos Grand Prix which starts at 12.00 from Castlecoote Village. Why not come a see our local cyclists take on the top cyclists from all around Ireland in one of the premier cycling races of the competitive cycling calendar.

Wed 15th June has a number of events and competitions. All the entered primary schools will be competing for the Cycle To School Competition with 3 category prizes for the School with the most pupil cycling to school. Schools can enter by e mail

Friday 17th For those cycling to work our spotters will be out in force to find people cycling to work with the winners receiving a prize.

Sat 18th and its down and dirty in Lough Key Forest Park with Mountain Bike Workshops starting at 11am. Places are limited and booking is through the Roscommon Sports Partnership Office.

Sunday 19th Family Cycle in association with Curlieu Wheelers from Boyle to Forest Park and back meeting at St Josephs Church Car Park at 3pm. Refreshments in Forest Park.

Please note Helmets must be worn at all events.
