The Blueways Ireland project is a national water and land based multi-activity trail including food, heritage craft and music trails. Blueways are an opportunity for communities and commercial service providers to benefit from the economic and recreational potential of their water resource. The Shannon Blueway is to be extended to include the Shannon Erne and the Carrick on Shannon to Lanesborough/Ballyleague section of the river Shannon.
To assist us in realising the potential of the Blueway as a local sports and active recreation facility we invite you to take part in a ‘Benefit from the Blueway’ workshop, and also request that you forward the attached letter/email and poster to any of your community or club contacts who may benefit from or could contribute to these workshops and the Blueway development process.
